3x 1000@ 4:20 - 200m jog/reps

Cross Country Summer Schedule 2012 – Boys

As you prepare for the upcoming season keep in mind that more is not always better: sometimes less is more. 
Unless otherwise noted all runs are at easy ‘conversation’ pace.
NOTE: Times given are a guideline  so you know expectations for Aug.26.  PLEASE do not exceed by more than 10 minutes per day.  For the last two weeks stick to the given mileage.

3-5(1 min hard (mile pace), 3 minutes easy, 2 min tempo**, (hard, easy, tempo…..etc.)
10-15(30-40 seconds “on”-30 seconds “off” ) - “on”= xc race pace /  “off”= conversation pace
4-7(10 second 800 pace ‘sprint’ every 5 minutes
D  fartlek of your own creation
