Schedule 2012 – Boys
As
you prepare for the upcoming season keep in mind that more is not always better: sometimes
less is more.
Unless
otherwise noted all runs are at easy ‘conversation’ pace.
NOTE: Times given are a guideline
so you know expectations for
Aug.26. PLEASE do not exceed by more
than 10 minutes per day. For the last
two weeks stick to the given mileage.

Fartlek - Choose from A,
B, C, or D for fartlek
runs. All fartlek runs should begin
with 10-12 minutes easy running and end with10-12 minutes easy running.
A 3-5(1 min hard (mile pace), 3 minutes easy, 2 min
tempo**, (hard, easy, tempo…..etc.)
B 10-15(30-40 seconds “on”-30 seconds “off” ) - “on”=
xc race pace / “off”= conversation pace
C 4-7(10 second 800 pace ‘sprint’ every 5 minutes
D fartlek of your own creation
